- Playback Theatre Sydney has been performing for 28yrs in Sydney. PBT is an form of improvisation that transforms an audience members personal experience into theatre using music and acting. We perform at The Newtown Theatre the last sunday a month in addition we are contracted to perform with Playback within organisations on a regular basis. In fact this is how we fund ourselves. Playback is also contracted to create theatre pieces a for training films and conferences, using our abilities in improvisation and strong listening skills we are able to reflect back the essence of issues in a theatrical way that is both humorous and meaningful.
