I'm an emerging theater director based in London. I am interested in the realtion between the body and the text, the space and the body, and the performer and the observer. My strengths lay in working on text however I am developing skills and awareness of the body and space and its a journey of constant discovery. I work mostly on new writing, or devised pieces around a current theme of interest. I believe our task as artists is to engage ourselves with the world and our surroundings through the use of our art. By creating dialogue between artists of different backgrounds and skills, we can start collaborating to do our best to make our universe a more livable place.
My "taste preferences" and interest in performing arts:
Hm... Difficult to answer. The kitchen should be a place of a variety of ingredients, that all come together to perfect the taste of anyone dish. However, in the kitchen, like in the theatre, these ingredients have to be meassured against the final aim, they all have to be in there for a reason. As long as there is a reason and a need behind creating a dish, and the ingredients fit well together I am all for it. What my tastebuds dont like is meaningless crap that is out there only to make a profit, not to engage with the world around.
